Tibbett’s Wilderness Cabins

Welcome to our site for Tibbett’s Wilderness Cabins. We are an off the grid, green and clean company that can’t wait for your visit! We are a family owned and run property. We are housed next to Tibbett’s Brook and I think we have one of the best swimmin’ holes in the planet. Hence the name “Tibbett’s”.

We have three cabins on site.  Please feel free to drill down into our website for pictures and information regarding each of the specific cabins.  To wet your whistle – here is some basic information.

The Big Pine Cabin has a King Sized Suite, where we are currently living, an inside toilet, kitchenette, an Upright Grand Piano, seating for 4, a wood stove and supplemental Propane Heating. The Cabin is approximately 24 x 32. I sleep like such a baby here!

Our Second Little Cabin…

The Crooked Floor School House – the “Little School in the Woods”.

This cabin is created with all of my grandchildren in mind. Painting, sketching, sewing , quilting, school work, etc.

Buck Door Cafe: There is an outdoor living kitchen that we utilize herbs, vegetables grown onsite, eating area and large fire pit. There is a gas grill on site that can also be utilized. Cooking over an open campfire makes the experience that much more.img_1114

Kayaking:  There are kayaks site so we can paddle up creek to see grand kids on Tibbett’s Brook or the Rum River.

The Outside Bear Bath that has an enclosed area for you to use.  It is a claw foot tub surrounded by nature.  Enjoy a hot bath, listening to the birds, the geese, sand hill cranes, and possibly watch some of the white tail deer walk by.    Ever imagine a candle lit bath  or a moonlit bath in the wilderness?  Pretty spectacular.  Hard to envision?  Ever tented in a remote location – and have a cast iron, claw foot tub, cotton robes, and a candlelight set out for you to enjoy?  Add a bottle of wine – and wallah!  Ambiance! Life is good !

Cedar Lined Sauna: The sauna for two is very comfortable. It was built with the mission, less is more. It has rocks from Lake Superior adorned on top, Essential oils to meet our needs, and the necessary Eucalyptus oil that is mandatory for a great experience. There is nothing cleaner than a great steam clean, as well as relax your muscles after a long day of kayaking, hiking, fishing or reading a book.

Our property is filled with all kinds of wild animals from White Tail Deer to Black bear trails.
